Leagues prepare for season kick-off

The award-winning, highly rated Harrow Youth Football League, for Under-12 to Under-18 age groups, and Harrow Soccer Combination, for Under-7 to Under-11 age groups, are preparing for another exciting season.

A total of 752 teams from 84 clubs, spanning the Under-7 to Under-18 age groups, are set to take part. The season will kick off shortly and run until May.

Last season, more than 11,500 local children registered to play.

Founded in 1942, the competition is a leading Football Association-accredited league, attracting teams from across Middlesex and neighbouring areas for matches every Sunday.

League chairman Andy Lowe said:
“Over the years, we have worked hard to provide a strong foundation for grassroots football, helping local children enhance their physical, social and mental well-being in a safe and welcoming environment.

The FA’s new playing initiatives, including three-versus-three football at Under-7 level, are being introduced, and we will review their implementation over the coming months.

It is a pleasure to see such continued interest ahead of the new season, and we wish every team the very best in the competitions.”
